The following question/comments are made regarding the Matthew
Temporary Permit/LUA04-092,TP:
1 For how long will the temporary permit be in effect? Does temporary
become permanent after a period of time?
2 What Is the medical hardship that it cannot be accommodated in the
existing residence?
3 Most of the lots between No 2nd and N03rd on Garden run to the alley and
could accommodate similar manufactured homes to the one requested in
the Matthew permit. What is to prevent that from happening?
4 Would access to the Matthew manufactured unit be from the alley or from
Garden St?
5 My family has owned the home at 1206 No Second St since the 1930's. One
of my sons currently resides there. The impact of business and professional
services on the North Renton neighborhood has been profound. Parking and
traffic remain a growing and troublesome problem. To allow further impacts
on the streets and alleys of North Renton will further deteriorate the
neighborhood.
You can tell from my comments that I have concerns about the Matthew permit
and the potential precedence approval will set.
Please keep me informed regarding the detail and progress of the permit.

Cathy Matthew is under treatment for degenerative arthrosis respect to both her knees. She is currently living in
a tri-Ievel home of which climbing down the stairs is causing disabling pain. Therefore, I have recommended to
her that she consider living in a home that is just a single level. It sounds like her father has one to move out of
and can move to a smaller one. He has built a smaller unit for himself on his property, allowing her to have his
home. After such that the ends can be authorized to happen, then this is considered a hardship need.
