This.letter is in responSe t!J a notice dated March 10, 2005froll1 theCitY of Renton stating that
: our fence-is in violation ofthe'Renton Municipal Code 4-4-040 D 2'c due to'our fence exceeding ,. " '", " '.., '" .' '-'. . the allo",ed height. 'As a result, we, the' property, owners, are submitting th" materials required for
the application of a "Special Fence' Permit." Per review of the materials included with the City of ' ~e!lton notice, the ma~erials posted on the City of Renton website, ,and RMC 4-4-040 we'bel,i~ve'
that we meet all of th'e criteria required for the attainment of a Special Fence' Permit. . . ' . . : ., ; . '. . ~ . . .

4. The fence does',not present a hazard to vehicular or pedestrian ,traffic." As mentioned in,'
.' #2 above, the fence is outside of the clear vision area by being approXimately 36',from '
the, co'mer, where the requirement states that it must be20', from a comer. Our house is
" ,located on the west side of the street, thus traffic approaching from the direction of our:
fence is on 'ihe'other side of the street allowing Ii vehiCle to be seen 'for at least one block.
In addition, ~e believe that the fence does not present as rilUch of,an 9bstruction of view"

In conclusion, we ask you to review the enclosed Special, Fence Permit application and other '

, 'would,be severely violated if we were to reduce the h~ight'of our fence. In addition, we feel that
, we have th'e right to utilize the entire portion of our property; therefore, if-we had to move our ,
fence to the 'set-back 'proposed by the City of Renton in' order'to maintain'the 72" height, we '
