They spent $127.93. • Over a month ago we received a petition from 60 of our Thursday dancers, requesting returning tables back into the dining room during the dances. When we first started the dances, tables were at both ends of the auditorium, with dancing in the middle. It was suggested from a number of people to remove the tables, their reasoning, it was a dance, we don't want tables, we want to dance. With numbers growing, we removed tables and put chairs around the outside of the room. Staff reviewed the petition; decided for a number of reasons, safety being one and with tables in the auditorium there is not enough room to dance. • The two week closure...there was so much accomplished...painting; all carpets and cushions cleaned throughout the building; new flooring in the craft room, nurses' room and coffee bar area; compromised first week to serve meals (served 220); and allow Meals On Wheels to come in. • RSVP volunteer breakfast is October 19. • City of Renton employees of Local 2170, AFSCME, serving a ree pancake breakfast to seniors on Saturday, 10/16 from 8:00-10:00 A.M. • Museum fund raiser on Wednesday, October 6. • Communities in Schools fund raiser, Thursday, October 14. • Rotary Annual Crab Feed, October 22. • Citizen of the Year Award banquet, October 28.
