were ab3e ta, continue without any�prob'iem Sneison sta�rted their work in
the area of manh-'�e #t69. The�surface�f�the ground�ust north of ae ation
tank �1 was s��ated w�th water and had>many stand�ng puddies. Whe Snei-
snn went through this�'area to instalt�their`���' g�r v: ty Iine the ma rial
they excava��ed got"�mixed with the materiat al��dy saturated with ater.
When the`Cat op�rator backfilled�-this ditch a�ter they installed their line
he was very ca;reful not to drive across thi di�tch because of�e condition
of tfie�backfitt material being so soft. he f�reshly ptaced b ckfill mater-
ial would not support the weight of his Cat:�if he crassed t�e ditch. The
grav�i ty I ine in thi�s`'�r-ea.,.�as�only a�r.aximately 3 ft. d�p and ! bel ieve
tl�e operator cfid nat cross the di�t�ch because of his con�ern of disturbing
t'�e pipe if his Cat did sink�„dawn �nto h��.s.oft mater'�`'�al . The material with
i�,nich they backfilled was,�s�o sof ^�that it waul'd'`not ven support a rnan's
