AN EASEMENT FOR A SEWER PIPELINE
GRANTED BY KING COUNTY TO THE
CITY OF RENTON
This agreement made this ���ay of , 19�'Z,
by and between King County, a political subdivision f the State
of Washington, hereinafter termed the Grantor, and the City of
Renton, hereinafter termed the` Grantee�
WITNESSETH•
That for and in consideration of mutual benefits, the Grantor
herein does by these presents grant unto the Grantee, its successors
�p and assigns , an easement and right- of way, over, through, under,
� across and upon� the. following described real property, situate in
0 King County, Washington, to-wit:

Cv Section 16 , Township 23 North, Range 5 East, W.M. , situ-
�O � ated in King County, Washington. '
Said easement being for the purpose of installing, constructing, II�
operating, maintaining, removing, repairing, replacing, and using I
one sanitary sewer line together with all connecting manholes, and
appurtenances thereto, together with the right of ingress and egress
to and from said described property for the foregoing purposes .
The Grantor and Grantee herein, by accepting and recording
this easement mutually covenant and agree to the general terms and
conditions applicable to the easement described in detail in
Appendix "A" attached hereto and by this reference made part of
this agreement.

k 1 . Shauld performance by Grantee af any act un�er this agree-
ment result in damage to or destxuction o�' existing craps , land-
'` � scaping, fences , improvements or livestocic, Grantee shall immed-
iately reimburse the damaged party to the full extent necessary to
restore said paxty ta the positian he would have held absent said
injury.
2 . Grante� shall be required ta pay any general ar special
assessments or increased insurance premiums incurxed by Gxantor as
� a result of any authorized use hereundex.
3. Grantee, its successors and assigns , shall protect , d�_f_end,
and hold harmless Grantor against alT claims , demands , loss dama�e ,
expense, and liabil.ity arising from any and all acts o � Grantee ,
performed under this agreement .
� 4 . In all Hiring or emplayment made possible or resulting
.,,p fram this agreernent , there sha2l be na discriminatian against any
� employee ar applicant �or employment because of sex, age , xace,
� calar, creed, national origin, marital status or the presence af
� any sensoxy, mental , or physical handicap, unless based upon a bona
�,,,N� fide occupational qualification, and this requixement sha11 apply
� � to but not be limitecl to the fallowing : employment , advertising ,
Cy lay-off or termination, rates or pay or other forms of compensation ,
� � and selectzon for training, including appxenticeship . No person
shall be denied, or subjected to discriminatian in receipt a� the
benefit c�f any services ar activities made pflssible by or resu�.ting
fram this agreement on the graund of sex, race , calor, creed,
national arigin, age except minimum age and retirement provisians ,
marital status , or the presence of any sensory, mental or physical
handicap. Any violation of this provision sha11 be considered a
violation of a material pravision af this agreement and shall be
grounds for cancellatian, texma.nation or suspension in whole or in
part , of the agxeement by the County and may result in ine7.i�ibil.ity
far further County a�reements .
5 . A11 right, title ancl interest which may be used and enjoyed
without interfering with the nan-exclusive easements rights
herein conveyed is reserved to the Grantor. The construction,
insinstallation or maintenance , after the date of this agreement ,
p however, of fixtures or structures of a permanent natuxe within
' the above described easement axea shall be cieemed an inter�erence
. with said easement rights herein gxanted. �
6. Neither this easeme�t or the ri.ghts af the C�rantee here-
under shall be assignable in �ahflle or in part , Al1 the pravisians , �
conditians , requirements and regulatians herein contained shall. be
binding upon the successors in ownership of the benefitted land,
and all privileges o� the Grantee shall be given to such successors
in nwnexship of the bene£itted land as part and parcelof the
appurtenant easement.
I7. The rights granted herein shall be appurtenant to the �
benefitted land and exclusively �ar the specific purpose a� pro-
vidin� sewer services thereto. Ir3 the �vent t;at the -�acili+ie�
installed under this grant are abandoned and the use thereof dis-
continued, all rights to the Grantee or successors in oti,�nership
i shall automatically terminate and revert to the Gran�ox, and the
, Grantee sha11 r�store the area herein described to its original
eondition without cost ta the �rantor.
