This agreement made this �� day of�se��-..�s„� . 1983, by and
between King County, a political subdivision of the State of Washington, hereinafter
termed the Grantor, and the City of Renton, hereinafter termed the Grantee.
WITNESSETH:
That for and in consideration of mutual benefits, the Grantor herein, by these
presents, grants unto the Grantee, its successors and assigns, an easement and right
of way, over, through, under, across and upon the following described real property,
situa.te in King County, Washington, to-wit:
A utility easement 15 feet in width over, across and through a portion
of the South 1/2 of the North 1/2 of Section 16, Township 23 North,
Range 5 East, W.M. , King County, Washington, being 7.5 feet on either
side of the following described centerline: Co�rnnencing at the northeast
corner of the west 280 feet of the north 960 feet of the S W 1/4 of the
N E 1/4 of said Section 16; thence westerly, along the north line of
said subdivision, 220 feet; thence southerly, perpendicular to said north
� line, 17 feet; thence Nortli 89°07'21" West 150 feet; thence South 00°52'39"
q� ��Vest 291.74 feet, more or less, to the true point of beginning of said
� easement centerline; thence South 89°03'38" East 88 feet, more or less,
� to the north-south centerline of said Section 16; thence continuing
p South 89°03'38" East 444 feet, more or less, to point "A" of this
� description;
� thence North O1°04'13" East 87 feet, more or less, to a terminus;
� thence continuing, from point "A", South 89°03'38" East 240 feet, more or
less, to the east line of the west 683.33 feet of the S �V 1/4 of the
N E 1/4 of said Section 16 and the terminus of this centerline description.

Said her�,ty�pre mentioned Grantee, its successors or assigns, shall have the
���,��i�ho�ipr�ior notice or proceeding at law, at such times as may be necessary
enter upon t,��, above described property for t}ie purpose of constructing, main-
tq����,i�}���i�, a'7.tering or reconstructing said utilities, or making any
cSnnections therewith,�'without incurring any legal obligations or liability therefore,
. provided, that such construction, maintaining, repairing, altering or reconstruction
of said utilities shall be accomplished in such a manner that the private improvements
existing in the right(s)-of-way shall not be disturbed or damaged; or if disturbed or
damaged, they will be replaced in as good a condition as they were immediately before
the property was entered upon by the Grantee.
The Grantor shall fully use and enjoy the aforedescribed premises, including
the right to retain the right to use the surface of said right-of-way if such use
does not interfere with installation and maintenance of the utilities. However, the
Grantor shall not erect buildings or structures over, under or across the right-of-way
during the existence of such utilities.
f�OLD HARMLESS: Grantee (City of Renton) aclmowledges and Grantor (King County)
similarly aclmowledges that Grantee's responsibility is to repair, reconstruct
and/or maintain the water lines and appurtenant facilities associated with the
granting of this easement. Grantee agrees to hold Grantor, its elected and
appointed officials and employees ha.rmless from all claims and/or causes of
actions which may arise due to the activities of Grantee in repairing,
reconstructing or maintaining these facilities pursuant to this easement.
This easement shall be a covenant running with the land and shall be binding on
the Grantor, his successors, heirs and assigns. Grantors covenant that they are the
lawful owners of the above properties and that they have a good and lawful right to
execute this agreement.
