City Staff present: Eliabeth Higgins, RMAC liaison City of Renton
CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 4:35PM
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: COMMISSIONER BRITT MCKENZIE PRESENTED THE MINUTES FOR October
2013. Moved to approve Peter Hartley, 2"d Mitch Shepard, MOTION APPROVED.
CORRESPONDENCE AND ANNOUNCEMENTS: Britt McKenzie passed around the correspondence folder
for individual review.

• "Then There Were None" Renton Civic Theater runs until November 9tn
Guest Carlene Bascom-Bartok presented a mural to us that was painted on the side of a building which
was occupied by Diamond Tattooing. It was tagged as she told us that was against City sign code. She
Wanted the Commission to be aware that the City was watching artists and the problem would be
resolved between the City and the owner of the building.
Elizabeth informed us that the invitations have gone out for the dedication of the Rainier Avenue Grady
Way project. Date to be announced.

OLD BUSINESS:
Committee reports:
Communication Committee: Jaris English Lead
Jaris informed us she would like to step down as lead of this Committee.
There will be a meeting on Thurs Nov. 14 noon at Luther's Table.
GAP lighting project: Lead Mitch Shepard
' Since Jennifer left this committee has not been active. Mitch is lead and will be

RESOURSE committee Peter Hartley Lead
The grant request for the "Our Town" projects got lost in cyberspace.
Peter will resubmit it in 2014.
Peter has had numerous conversations with the artist responsible for the 'Mine
Hoist" project. She has run over budget and will be submitting a small grant
application to us. The amount can only be up to$250.00.
RETREAT
The retreat will be on November 16`" 1pm to 4pm. Discussion will be on building
Awareness. Location The eristol Cabana #2.
ADJOURNMENT: November 2013 meeting was adjourned at 6:00 pm. The next meeting will be held
December 3, 2013 in the Renton City Hall Conferencing Center(7th Floor) at 4:30 pm.
