Sharp Program. Dorothy asked if there are plans to re-stripe the parking area. The
' present striping is wearing away. Shawn will look into when and if anything is scheduled
for this project. Peggy expressed disappointment that the Keeping Your Mind Sharp
program was a iwo part program and we were only provided the first session. Many ,
people had other plans and could not attend the afternoon portion at Gen Care. Shawn
was of the understanding that the entire program would be held at the Senior Center.
Shawn will stay in contact with the people of Keeping Your Mind Sharp and see about
scheduling an entire program at the center. Pat said she knew the speaker would be back
in our area on Aug. 2"d. Shawn questioned doing another program so soon after the first
' one. It was discussed that there is money in the Advisory Board account and perhaps at a
later date we could sponsor the complete program. Ruby shared that she has heard some
complaints about the lunch program food, i.e. not hot enough when served, and quality of I
, food. Shawn said they have met with Cher in the past and sometime in the future Shawn
and Debbie will sit down and have another meeting with her. Marge wanted to know if '
there are any plans for improvements of the baseball field at Liberty Park. Tim said yes
they are planning a renovation that would take care of Marge's concerns. Kay and
Debbie both brought up the issue with the Hyde Shuttle bus parking in the handicap
areas. Shawn responded that they pick up disadvantaged people so rightfully could park
there. However it's a new driver and maybe he just needs to be told there are better
places to park.
The next meeting will be July 2nd
Ben ad'ourned the meetin at10:58.
