SENIOR SERVICES SUPERVISOR REPORT: Shawn Daly
Mary Lou Gilbert is in the hospital with a broken hip. It is unknown how long
she will be recovering or how long before she will be back at our meetings.
• A question was asked last meeting regarding the leak in the roof. We had a
roofing company come and look at the situation and it appeared the problem
was solved. Unfortunately Shawn came in today and was told by the
custodian that there were two leaks in the roof. They will continue to look for
a solution to this problem.
• Shawn wanted to thank all who volunteered for the Senior Revue at Carco
Theater. The program was a great sucees and Shawn applauded the great job
done by the Advisory Board volunteers. There was some thought about
discontinuing this program because of diminishing numbers of attendees. We
have to remember why this program is presented. Those who participate have
the opportunity to perform on stage and it is a great promotion of the Renton
Senior Center. There has been feed back to Shawn from children of those
participating that this program gives their parents a reason to come to the
center. For now there are no plans to discontinue this program. Milt made a
suggestion that perhaps having sponsors might defray expenses for the
program. Shawn felt better promotion of the revue needs to be reviewed. For
our information Carco Theater does not charge the center rent for the use of
their facility.
• Shawn gave Sandy Polley a check from Natalie Evans in the amount of
$300.00 that was in memory of her parents Earl Wayne Mann and Toshiko
Seko Mann. Pat Baylorwi11•send a thanc you in acknowledgement of this
donation.

Round Table Discussion:
Milt brought up a question of carrying such a high balance in the treasurer. A suggestion
was made that this could be discussed at the retreat. Perhaps some funds could be
allocated to do something around the center. Pat has a current RSVP report and will
bring it to next meeting. Pat sent a thank you note to Sheri Brunette for her $100 check
in memory of Jack Oden. Sandy inquired if the staff plans on returning their skit Laugh
