President Ben Cheney called the meeting to order at 10:00 A.M. Attendance was taken.
Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read.
TREASURER'S REPORT—Treasurer, Sandra Polley
Bank Statement $17,225.43
Emergency Fund 203.25
Petty Cash 20.23
Forgotten Badge Fund 7.25
RECREATION DIRECTOR'S REPORT–Tim Williams
• 2013-14 budgets will provide some services; recreation will look at doing business
differently since Washington State is 5.5 billion dollars in the rears which impacts our 2012
budget. Cost of classes, trips and special events wiil be looked at by a four tier cost recovery
program:
1. Free programs.
2. 20% direct cost—classes. '
3. 30% cost recovery–trips.
4. Full cost recovery–extended trips.
RECREATION COORDINATOR– Debbie Little
• Reported balance on the Ikuta Foundation, minus Administrative fees, is $600,756.97.
• Debbie explained the four tier cost recovery program is a huge deal for her and Shawn.
This makes '
trips, classes and special events costly and will probably have to cancef trips for lack of senior
participating. The April thru June brochure will reflect cost of programs increasing.
• Questions and discussion regarding the cost recovery program continued for twenty
minutes.
