Ben gave a big thank you to all participates that made the float project such a big success. Specifically,the Float Committee, center staff Debbie Little and Liza Wivag, and one of our senior pool players Benny Johnson. Also a special thank you to Chris Anderson for , providing the flat bed trailer that was used for the float. Ben wanted the Board Members to know that he and staff are receptive to suggestions from Board Memhers regarding Sub Committee recommendations from the retreat held last year. TREASURER REPORT—Sandy Polley Bank balance as of 07/30/13 $15,989.20 Parade costs to date: $99.53 RECREATION SUPERVISOR—Shawn Daly(Debbie Little filling in for Shawn) • Debbie gave a check to Sandy Polley from Lottie Calhoun in the amount of $100.00. • A thank you note was received from the Renton Housing Authority thankin g Senior Center volunteers who helped with the Seriior Health Fair. • Debbie Little and Matt Jackson pri.nted the tee shirts for those that participated in the Renton River Da s Parade. A bill was 'ven to Sand Polle to Y � Y Y reimburse Pat for the cost of i.nk used in that printing. • A thank you note from Bill Clapp expressed his personal appreciation for the support of the Renton Senior Activity Center and their endorsement-bf the float project and encouraging Senior Center member's participation. • There is a charge for the Renton Senior center to remain a non-profit in the amount of$10. Shawn has paid that amount. . � � � �CREA'TION DIRECT�R-Terry Higashiyama Community Services Administrator (Filling in for Tim Williams during his absence) Terry read and distributed a draft handout titled Senior Center Communication Path. This contained many good points to follow for a successful team effort. In reviewing the goal list from the retreat there will be an effort to narrow the list in 2014 for better implementation. Review the handout and edit where you might feel needed and give a copy of your suggestions to Debbie and we will review again at the October meeting. The marketing brochure is a really a good tool to let people be more aware of the Renton Senior Activity Center. Remember when you sit on the Advisory Board you represent the City of Renton. A reminder always let the staff be aware of any safety issues or other issues that you might become aware of that need the staffs attention. OL��USINESS Milt Tiede inquired about follow up on issue of food temperatures.
