OLD BUSINESS
Pat Baylor requested open discussion on the ADA i.nformation that had been distributed
regarding service animals at the Renton Senior Center. There was significant discussion
among board members as to how to implement a policy at the center. Milt made a
motion and Bill seconded the motion that a formal policy recommendation be sent to the
City Attorney. It was voted on and approved. There is currently a Code of Conduct
Policy posted in the center.
ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION
Shirley Haddock said she had been approached by several people asking her to bri.ng to
the committee's attention their displeasure of the St. Patricks Day Dinner. There was a
request that the salad bar be reinstated for the lunch program. There was also an issue of
lunch being served at 12 noon instead of 11:45 A.M. The later start presents a problem
for people who need to take their bus home. There are ongoing concerns regazding how
slow the serving goes and the food not being warm.
Pat Baylor brought up interesting facts regarding requirements that are necessary if you
have a salad bar.
Ben adjourned the meeting at 11:20 A.M.
