HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, Honey Crest LLC proposes to develop nineteen lots in the plat of Honey
Crest; and
WHEREAS, under City regulations the plat requires not only primary access, but
emergency secondary access; and
WHEREAS, the adjoining plat, named Arlindale Plat, has a one foot strip of property in
an L shape that was deeded or dedicated to King County for other than road purposes; and
WHEREAS, to provide either primary or secondary access, that strip of property must be
crossed; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton is willing to acquire that property from King County and
join with the developers of the Honey Crest Plat in the proposed plat by dedicating this one foot
strip of property as additional right-of-way for NE 9th Court; and
WHEREAS, there are certain risks that the City of Renton will be undertaking, which are
primarily for the benefit of the Honey Crest Plat;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PARTIES HERETO AGREE AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City of Renton will obtain the one-foot strip of land from King County and

join as owners of property included within the proposed plat by dedicating this one-foot strip as
additional right-of-way for NE 9th Court.
2. Honey Crest LLC, or its successors as developers of the plat of Honey Crest, will
hold the City harmless from any and all claims, causes of action, suits, damages, judgments or
other losses, including those by third parties, including the costs of any litigation and to include
any attorney's fees expended by the City in such litigation which may occur as a result of the
acquisition or dedication of the subject property by the City.
3. This agreement is binding on the successors and assigns of Honey Crest LLC and
will run with the land for a period of ten years following adoption of the final resolution accepting
the final plat of Honey Crest. The agreement benefits and runs with the following land. See legal
description attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein as if fully set forth.
