Volunteers should meet at the Riverbend Clubhouse located at 17410 SE Renton Maple Valley Road, Renton, 98058 for a brief orientation and to pick up supplies. Volunteers will then be dispersed into groups along various locations on the Cedar River to assist in picking up trash along the Cedar River Trail and the banks of the Cedar River. Trash bags and gloves will be provided, but please remember to bring your own water, snacks, sunscreen, and weather-appropriate clothing. Also, remember the river banks can be muddy, so please wear proper footwear. Flyers for this project, in both English and Spanish, are located on the back table tonight. Preventative street maintenance, traffic impact projects, and road closures will be at the following locations: ✓ Monday, May 15th through Friday, May 19th, 8:30 a.m.to 3:30 p.m. Intermittent lane closures at Lake Washington Blvd just north of Houser Way North/Gene Coulon Park due to grinding and asphalt overlay of the roadway. Questions may be directed to Brad Stocco at 425-282-2373. ✓ Monday, May 15th through Friday, May 19th, 8:30 a.m.to 3:30 p.m. Northbound lane closure on Union Avenue NE near NE 27th Place due to utility construction. Questions may be directed to Brad Stocco at 425-282-2373. ✓ Monday, May 15th through Friday, May 19th, 8:30 a.m.to 3:30 p.m. Additional truck traffic and hauling will occur in the vicinity of Valley Medical Hospital related to the construction of the new parking garage. Northbound and southbound nighttime lane restrictions and closures along SR 167 and I-405 are scheduled this week related to the I-405/SR 167 Interchange Direct Connector Project. Road closure on South 14th Street between Smithers Avenue South through Davis Avenue South for utitity construction. Open to local access only. Intermittent curb lane closures both eastbound and westbound along SW Sunset Blvd between Oakesdale Avenue SW and Rainier Avenue South while crews conduct regular sewer line maintenance. Intermittent curb lane closures in both directions of Logan Avenue North between North 6th Street and Lake Washington Blvd. between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for preventative maintenance of utility lines. Street maintenance crews will be repaving the curb tanes in both directions along NE 4th Street between Monroe Avenue NE and Bronson Way NE. Crews will start with the westbound direction then switch direction and repave eastbound. South 2nd Street, east of and adjacent to the intersection of Main Avenue South and South 2nd Street, will be closed for a period not to exceed two months. The intersection of NE 10th Street and Harrington Avenue NE will be closed to accommodate construction of the Sunset Neighborhood Park and surrounding area. Complete road closure of Harrington Avenue NE, Sunset Lane NE, and Glennwood Avenue NE for approximately one year to accommodate the Sunset Lane NE Roadway Improvements Project. Detours are in place. Expect some intermittent lane closures in the Highlands as a result of the Highlands Sewer Main and Manhole Rehabifitation Project, between NE Sunset Blvd and NE 4th Street, from approximately I- 405 to Monroe Avenue NE. Lining of the sewer mains is expected to be completed by July 1st; however, rehabilitation of some manholes will continue through August 31st. The City of Kent will be conducting a pavement rehabilitation project along 80th Avenue South between South 194th Street and South 190th Street. This project is near the City of Renton border. Lane reductions and/or closures may impact Renton residents. A map of the affected area is available tonight on the back table. Full road closure on Harrington between Sunset Lane NE and Harrington Avenue NE as well as a full road closure on Harrington Avenue NE between NE 10th Street and Sunset Lane NE will be in place as part of the Sunset Lane Capital Improvement Project.
