`f�l�heyeas,Geraldine Bookrum McQuiller was born on May 16, 1914, in Columbus, Ohio; and
ZVhereas, Geraldine was married to Jeathro McQuiller on June 10, 1933, in Port Huron,
Michigan and they celebrated 73 years of marriage; and
`iNFtereas, Geraldine was "Momma"to four children with one surviving son, Kevin McQuiller; and
`G�hereas,Geraldine ("Granny"j celebrates being a grandmother to seven grandchildren, 21 great-
grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and
`Gt�hereas, Geraldine babysat and helped raise not only her own g�andchildren but any others that
needed her; and
`iNhereas,Geraldine worked as a nanny for the same family for 20 years, giving the family members
her love and devotion; and
`iNhereas,Geraldine loved her community and volunteered for 10 years at Port Huron Senior
Services and 60 years at her church;and
`iN�te�'eus,Geraldine and Jeathro moved to Renton in 2000 to live with their son and daughter-in-
law Norma McQuiller and were active at the Renton Senior Activity Center, which she loved
attending and where they enjoyed many friendships; and
`i�(�hereas,Geraldine considers everyone she meets to be her friend and she just celebrated her
103rd birthday with friends and family;
JVow, therefore, I, Denis Law, Mayor of the City of Renton, do hereby proclaim May 22, 2017 to be

in the City of Renton, and I encourage all citizens to join me in this special
observance.
