"I1EREAS the City of Renter: had operated, for many years past, a certain water
reservoir site located on Beacon .venue between Renton and Gott Streets, all as more
particularly described on the attached exhibit, labeled Exhibit "A", and said water
reservoir site having heretofore been discontinued and same having become inoperable
since 19 63, and new facilities having heretofore been established for said purposes
by the City of Renton at other sites, and said former reservoir site no longer being
needed for any municipal or public purpose, and it being in the best interest of the
City to declare said site, as described, surplus, and dispose of it in the best and
most advantageous manner to the City of Renton, NCE, TNEREFORI
BE IT 'ESOLPED BY TUE MAYOR APED TUE CITY COUNCIL OF TUE CITY OF R.ENTON AS
FOLLa?S:
SECTION I; The aforesaid findings and recitals are hereby found to be true
and correct in all respects.
SECTION II: It is hereby found and determined that the following described
property is no longer needed for any public use or purpose and there is no foreseeable
need or requirement for said property, and same should be sold upon such terms and
conditions as may be most beneficial to the City of ^canton and such sale to be made
either upon sealed bid to the highest, r *ansible bidder, or a negotiated sale, as
the Council may determine in its discretion; and said property being described as
follows, towwit:
North Fifty feet of Tract 25 in Lenton Co-operative Coal Company
Acre Tracts No. 1 as recorded in Volume 9 of Plats, page 29,
records of King County, 'tashington, lying east of the City of
Seattle Cedar River Pipeline,
and the iftamerty Committee of the City Council is hereby authorized and directed to
secure an appraisal of the abovedescribed property and thereafter to proceed with the
sale thereof at an amount not less than that fixed by appraisal.
SECTION III: Upon such sale the Mayor and City Clerk are further authorized
and directed to execute any and all Deeds or other instruments of conveyance as may
reasonably be necessary to effectuate the sale of said described property.
