The pavement restoration at the S 132nd Street intersection is revised to 4" HMA (compacted depth) over 6" Crushed Surfacing Base Course. Recycled concrete graded to meet the Crushed Surfacing Top Course gradations may be substituted for the Crushed Surfacing Base Course. The above changes shall be in accordance with the plans listed below. Reason for Change: Pavement Restoration on S 132"d Street. Along South 132"d Street,the existing pavement was planned to a depth of 3 inches per the contract. The existing pavement section was confirmed to be 3 inches or less of HMA with no base.The roadway will be excavated reconstructed per the Residential Street standard on City Std. Plan—103. Materials: This work will result in the use of 285.22 SY of bid item 19 (Pavement Repair Excavation, Incl. Haul) and addition of 16.24 tons of bid item 20(HMA Cl.%z" PG 64-22) which are absorbed into existing bid item with no overall increase.This change order will result in the increase of 86 tons of bid item 54(Crushed Surfacing Base Course).Acceptance shall be based on satisfactory test results of material incorporated into the project. Plans: Site Preparation—TESC Plan Sheet 5/TE-2 and Roadway Details Plan Sheet 23/RD-9. The Contractor is directed to remove the existing pavement and base material on the S 132nd Street approach to a depth of an additional 7=-inches, for a total depth below the existing pavement of 10-inches. The Contractor is directed to reconstruct the pavement with 6-inches compacted depth of Crushed Surfacing Base Course (CSBC) and 4-inches compacted depth of HMA per the COR Standard Plan 103.
