AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO AGREEMENT CAG-19-181
THIS AMENDMENT, dated October 31, 2019, is by and between the City of Renton (the "City"), a
Washington municipal corporation, and Frontdoorback LLC ("Consultant"), a Washington limited
liability company. The City and the Consultant are referred to collectively in this Amendment as
the "Parties." Once fully executed by the Parties, this Amendment is effective as of the last date
signed by both parties.
Whereas, the City engaged the services of the Consultant under Agreement CAG-19-181, dated
May 24, 2019, to provide necessary services for a presentation of retail best practices and on-
site consultations to empower Renton's business community (referred to herein as the
"Agreement");
Whereas, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to change the scope of work, the time for
performance, and change the compensation in order to continue efforts to provide design
services, technical support and implementation of the facade program in Downtown Renton.
NOW THEREFORE, It is mutually agreed upon that the Agreement is amended as follows:
1. Scope of Work: Section 1, Scope of Work, is amended to add work as specified in Exhibit
A-1, which is attached and incorporated herein.
2. Time of Performance: Section 3, Time of Performance, is amended such that all work
shall be performed by no later than February 1, 2020.
3. Compensation: Section 4, Compensation, is amended so that the maximum amount of
compensation payable to Consultant is increased by$5,250 from $5,000 to $10,250 plus
any applicable state and local sales taxes. The additional compensation shall be paid
based upon work actually performed according to the rate(s) or amounts specified in
Exhibit A-1.
4. All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in"full force and
effect and such terms shall apply to Work performed according to this Amendment as if
fully set forth herein.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF,the Parties have voluntarily entered into this Amendment as of the date
last signed by the Parties below.

CITY OF RENTON
Technical Design Support for Store Planning and Facade Improvements
OBJECTIVES:To assess a tenant or property owner's site conditions,floorplans and storefronts'effectiveness,attractiveness,
visibility and branding and develop concepts for improved brand-aligned curb appeal, tenant distinction, more profitable and
efficient use of space,and other retail best practice measures that will lead to increased pedestrian engagement and district
shoppability. Recommend updated floor plans,finishes,colors, and signage and lighting specifications to further define and enhance
the ground floor businesses so they may contribute in a positive manner to Downtown Renton's continued economic and civic
revitalization efforts.
Scope of Work and Deliverables:
• Review and photograph site conditions
• Document site dimensions and elevations for planning and estimating purposes. (Measurements for plans, permits,
construction drawings,mechanical drawings,etc.to be provided as needed by licensed architects,mechanical engineers,
general contractors or other vendors and professionals as required by City Planning or Code.)
• Produce renderings to communicate proposed changes: renderings may include photo realistic images,3-D concepts and or
hand drawn sketches or combinations thereof.
• Provide summary(narrative and drawings)of proposed changes suitable for submission to City of Renton's storefront grant
applications or participation
• Assist client in researching and selecting material and fixture specifications suited to their budget requirements.
• Prepare RFQ(Request for Quote)documents suitable for clients to share with vendors to gather cost estimates
FINANCIAL:
Scope of work related to concept development estimated to take 25-32 hours at Frontdoor Back's rate of$125/hour accrued hourly.
Travel time is in addition to the above hours. (Client assistance may help to reduce travel time costs related to site documentation)
If additional time is requested by either the business owner,City of Renton or Seanette Corkill for hours in excess of 32 to complete
the proposed tasks or to expand the scope,hours and scope must be agreed upon in writing(email) in advance of time spent.2

Concept development fees are due regardless of advancement of project by client.
STATUS&TIMELINE:
Work to begin upon client approval and per schedule availability of Frontdoor Back.

• Determine date range for initial concept delivery to begin the conceptual design process.
