Dear Ms. Sahota:
This office has reviewed your request (received October 2, 2019) to extend an approved
Shoreline Substantial Development Permit (File No. LUA16-000614, ECF, SM) that will expire on
December 5, 2019.
Pursuant to RMC 4-9-190.J, the municipal code allows the original approving body to issue a
single one (1) year extension. Therefore, your Shoreline Substantial Development Permit
extension request is approved. The Shoreline Substantial Development Permit will expire on
December 5, 2020.
You should be aware this office is empowered to issue only one such extension. If construction
activities for the Shoreline Substantial Development Permit has not commenced by December
5, 2020, it will terminate and a new permit will be necessary. Commencement of construction
activities includes the following: the construction applications must be submitted, permits must
be issued, and foundation inspections must be completed before December 5, 2 020.
