The application for a latecomer's agreement was submitted to recover a portion of the $238,147.51 estimated cost of water main extension along Whitworth Ave. S to the south margin of the City of Seattle Cedar River Pipe Line right-of-way required for the Renton Commmons development at 215 Whitworth Ave. S., so that adjacent properties will be required to share in the cost of the water main at such time that they benefit from the water main. The Committee further recommends that Council authorize the preliminary assessment roll to be forwarded to the City Clerk, who will notify the affected property owners. If no protests are received, after construction of the facilities and approval of the final costs, the Council can authorize preparation of the final assessment roll and latecomer agreement. In the event there is a protest for valid cause, a public hearing will be held to resolve any issues prior to proceeding with this matter. 1 /7L-i n Mclrvin, Chair X' se" e, Ruth Perez, Vice-Chair Randy Corman, Member cc: Ian Fitz-James,Civil Engineer Ill Abdoul Gafour,Water Utility Engineering Manager 1055 South Grady Way,Renton,WA 98057 • rentonwa.gov UTILITIES COMMITTEE COMMITTEE REPORT November 13, 2017 ii i3/z 'A 2017-2019 Biennial Water Quality Stormwater Capacity Grant Ecology Grant Agreement WSQSWCAP-1719-Renton-00017 (November 6, 2017) The Utilities Committee recommends concurrence in the staff recommendation to authorize the Water Quality Stormwater Capacity 1719 Agreement between the Washington State Department of Ecology and the City of Renton to provide up to $50,000 in non-matching funds to assist the City in complying with the requirements of the Western Washington Phase II Municipal Stormwater Permit, and approve the requested appropriation of funds to Surface Water Utility accounts. flan Mclrvin, Chair Ruth Perez, Vice Chair andy Corman, Member cc: Lys Hornsby, Utility Systems Director Ron Straka,Surface Water Utility Engineering Manager Kristina Lowthian,Surface Water Utility Engineer Hai Nguyen,Senior Finance Analyst Teresa Phelan, Utility Systems Senior Program Specialist Melissa Crawford, Utility Systems Administrative Secretary I .`. ia 1055 South Grady Way,Renton,WA 98057 • rentonwa.gov PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE APPROVED BY COMMITTEE REPORT CITY COUNCIL November 13, 2017 Date_43 2A i_ Police Department Reorganization (November 6, 2017) The Public Safety Committee recommends concurrence in the staff recommendation to approve the reorganization of the Police Department by eliminating a Commander position and adding a second Deputy Chief position.
