OWNER.
2.THE IRRIGATION SYSTEM SHALL BE TEMPORARY; PIPING
SHALL BE ON-GRADE AND SECURED TO GRADE. THE SYSTEM
SHALL OPERATE FOR A PERIOD SUFFICIENT TO ESTABLISH
PLANTS AND SEED MATERIAL AND TO PROVIDE FOR
SUFFICIENT GROWTH OF VEGETATIVE COVER SO AS TO
PREVENT SOIL EROSION.
3.SYSTEM SHALL BE DESIGNED TO OPERATE CORRECTLY AT
THE LOWEST AVAILABLE OPERATIONAL PRESSURE EXPECTED
DURING THE YEAR AND SHALL WITHSTAND WATER SYSTEM
SURGES.
4.BACKFLOW PREVENTION SYSTEM (BPA). ALL WATER SERVICES
SHALL HAVE A CITY-APPROVED BPA AND SHALL COMPLY WITH
APPLICABLE HEALTH AND SAFETY CODES.
5.VALVES SHALL BE SIZED TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE PRESSURE
DIFFERENTIAL FOR PROPER OPERATION.
6.SPRAY HEADS ON SAME LATERAL CIRCUIT SHALL BE
BALANCED FOR MATCHED PRECIPITATION RATES.
7.ELECTRICAL SERVICE POINT OF CONNECTION FOR IRRIGATION
SYSTEM CONTROLLER SHALL BE ONSITE AND PROVIDED BY
THE OWNER. IF AN ELECTRICAL SOURCE IS NOT AVAILABLE,
BATTERY OPERATED VALVES SHALL BE USED.
8.AT A MINIMUM, TEMPORARY WATERING SHALL BE PROVIDED
DURING THE GROWING SEASON (JUNE TO AUGUST FOR EACH
YEAR) AS NEEDED TO ESTABLISH PLANTINGS.Last Saved by: Patrick.mccarthy on: Nov 11, 2019 2:33 PM File: K:\AMEC US OFFICES\Seattle\LY16160400-02-01 - Boeing Renton\1 - LY16160400_100_ABAM_Revised.dwgL5L04

6.STAKES SHALL BE 3' TO 4' IN LENGTH.
NOTES:
1.REMOVAL OF INVASIVE VEGETATION AND REPLANTING AMONGST EXISTING RIPRAP AND ROCKERY
ARMORING: PRIOR TO PLANTING, THESE AREAS MAY REQUIRE SUPPLEMENTAL SOIL TO INFILL EXISTING
VOIDS. A NON-STRUCTURAL PLANTING MEDIUM SHALL BE USED WHERE REQUIRED TO CREATE SUITABLE
PLANTING CONDITIONS AS DETERMINED BY PROJECT ENGINEER..
2.UPON COMPLETION OF PLANTING ALL PLANTING BEDS SHALL BE TOPDRESSED WITH WOOD MULCH. PRIOR
TO PLACEMENT OF WOOD MULCH, AREAS IDENTIFIED SHALL BE SEEDED. SEE PLANT LIST.
3.CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL TEMPORARY HERBIVORE EXCLOSURE AS NEEDED TO PROTECT NEW
PLANTINGS.
4.AREAS OF ASPHALT REMOVAL IDENTIFIED ON THESE PLANS. ENSURE ALL ASPHALT AND SUBGRADE
MATERIALS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CRUSHED ROCK ARE REMOVED PRIOR TO INSTALLING
TOPSOIL AND PLANTS IN THESE AREAS. THE PROJECT ENGINEER SHALL REVIEW AND APPROVE THESE
AREAS PRIOR TO ANY PLACEMENT OF TOPSOIL OR PLANTING.

TEMPORARY HERBIVORY EXCLOSURE DETAIL
1.PLANTING PIT SIZES WILL BE A MINIMUM OF TWICE THE ROOT BALL WIDTH AND HAVE THEIR TOP TRUE ROOT NO MORE
THAN 1 INCH ABOVE THE SOIL SURFACE.
2.PRIOR TO PLANTING, CONTAINERS SHALL BE COMPLETELY REMOVED AND THE ROOTS LOOSENED BY APPROPRIATE
PRUNING.
3.PLANTING PITS WILL BE BACKFILLED WITH TOPSOIL THAT IS FREE OF ROCKS OVER 1 INCH, LUMPS, AND OTHER
FOREIGN MATERIALS. BACKFILLING AROUND TRUNKS OR STEMS IS NOT PERMITTED.
4.THE BACKFILL MATERIAL AND ROOTBALL SHALL BE THOROUGHLY WATERED ON THE SAME DAY THAT PLANTING
OCCURS REGARDLESS OF SEASON.
TREE REMOVAL NOTES:
1.PRIOR TO ANY TREE REMOVAL WORK ALL TREES FOR REMOVAL (SHOWN ON DRAWING L03) SHALL BE
CLEARLY IDENTIFIED WITH FLAGGING.
2.OWNER SHALL BE PROVIDED 24-HOUR NOTICE PRIOR TO START OF WORK TO INSPECT PRE-REMOVAL
FLAGGING. ALL TREE REMOVAL SHALL BE SUBJECT TO OWNER APPROVAL.

FROM SITE. OWNER TO PROVIDE DIRECTION IF DOWNED TREES WILL BE USED ONSITE. IF USED ONSITE
THE OWNER SHALL DIRECT THE PLACEMENT OR LOCATION FOR STORAGE OF THE DOWNED TREES.
(B)CHAIN SAWS:
THIS METHOD SHALL REMOVE THE WHOLE TREE AT ONCE OR IN SECTIONS. THE STUMP SHALL BE
REMOVED BY HAND GRUBBING AND WINCHING, STUMP CUTTING MACHINE, HYDRAULIC LIFTING OR
ANOTHER METHOD APPROVED BY THE OWNER BEFORE WORK COMMENCES.
6.IMMEDIATELY AFTER TREE REMOVAL ALL DEBRIS CLEAN UP SHALL BE PERFORMED BY CONTRACTOR.
7.DEBRIS FROM TREE REMOVAL SHALL BE IMMEDIATELY REMOVED FROM THE SITE BY CONTRACTOR.
