RGI Proposal No.2018-130-PRP1
Reference: Geotechnical Engineering Report, prepared by The Riley Group, Inc.dated June 8,
2018
Dear Mr.Woodruff:
The Riley Group, Inc. (RGI) is pleased to present this proposal for performing geotechnical
construction inspection services for the proposed Family First Community Center in Renton,
Washington. The project will include a total area of about 14.9 acres.
In preparing this proposal, a construction schedule is not available. Based on the communication
with the client, the construction is expected to start in late April 2020 and will last for about 10 to
12 months. RGI expects that the major earthwork will be performed in dry season.
Based on our experience with similar construction, we expect that full time observation and
density testing will be needed during major site grading and deep utility installation. Other
services such as footing excavation observation, backfilling, shallow utility installation, verifying
bearing capacity, drainage installation, and pavement subgrade can be performed on part time
basis. We estimate that our field services will be approximately 100 hours and includes travel and
field reports.
We expect the geotechnical special inspections will include:
Preconstruction meetings with the city(if needed)
> Temporary erosion and sediment control(TESC)
> Structural fill compaction testing
> Observe and monitor excavation
Y Bearing capacity verification
> Utility installation and backfill testing
• Subsurface drainage installation
Pavement subgrade observation
Daily field reports will be provided for your review outlining activities, results, and
recommendations,if any. A final report will be prepared at the end of the project,as required.
