There is a 13-year track record for this event, and in 2019, it was brought home to right here in Renton. For years, it was at the White Horse Casino in Kingston, and now it's on this side of the water in the community that Randall lives in and serves. It is underwritten by the NFL Alumni Association, and so attracts many of the former sports stars. The Randall Morris Foundation for Youth and Families' mission statement is to support youth,fam- ilies and community by providing financial support and scholarships to youth. Our foundation was formed as a result of our belief in the value of a solid family life, and desire to give back to a com- munity that has given us so much. The Randall Morris Foundation serves as a fundraising entity for several local charities, enabling these charities to expand their own fund-raising efforts. Our vision is to assist organizations in their quest to provide children a better chance at succeeding in life. The Foundation promotes two charity events each year—a Poker Tournament in the spring and a Golf Tournament in the early Fall. This proposal is for the Golf Tournament. For the Randall Morris Golf Invitational, there are two events for the public—(1)the Dinner and Auction the evening before the Golf Tournament, and (2)the Golf Tournament itself. We understand that not everyone golfs, but many love to support the local charities that benefit from Randall's tournaments. So,there is a big, elegant dinner the night before, and each of the nationally-known sports celebrities is a host of one of the tables, talking and engaging in conversation during dinner. (This year, a fabulous comedian entertained as well.)After dinner, there is an incredible auction featuring all types of sports memo- rabilia as well as dinners, accommodations, adventure packages, paintings, sculptures, and many other items. The following day, people pay to play golf with one of the sports celebrities. Each foursome is matched up with a celebrity to play a round of golf. After the golfing is over, there is a casual meal provided at the Golf Course, where everyone gets together and all kinds of trophies and prizes are awarded. This year, the golf tournament was played at the Fairwood Golf&Country Club. We had over 150 participants this year, and expect about 200 next year. The Fairwood Country Club is al- ready reserved for Sept. 14th. For our future events, with the City of Renton's help, we would like to add a children's venue. We would like to add a Kids Clinic over the weekend, that teaches kids how to swing a club on the driv- ing range, and putt on a putting green. We were thrilled to raise money for three incredible charities in our community—Levelupseattle (https://www.facebook.com/LevelUpSeattle), the Burned Children Recovery Foundation (https:// www.burnedchildrenrecovery.org/, and Mary's Place (https://www.marysplaceseattle.org/)! Last year, over 80 celebrities came from across the country to participate in the event and support our non-profits. • 2020 RENTON LODGING TAX FUNDS APPLICATION APprgane ligrftf naliart eadi;.idi Sanlu>: Ktsrsfrolh ® __...._ fut-Pugh •Mit4 dxtrotcirnai Fundtgkiti :tdFar EOM IAarGtttlr g tf thsr: DMO aocrcmeereaetrYuon►ta ae Randall Morris Foundation for Youth and Families Mag1 4Cdrlss P.O.Box 58104 rep Seattle Stair WA ~ 98104 ladail tilted li huo iptitaya pa ow rLrm4r Randall Morris 206-255-0483 91,4N:auit rltp Nt[r-rlirx;111 Wherein ham a1icar, ._..._.___.. 1 haft, minim. c ni pe' I4 iotaIP rmorris43@comcast.net Pwgvtiai.lnrorfltriton • rdctC W asal: -__.—_____ w_ _ 1-.0 .DIrtt oquar114 • Randall Morris Celebrity Golf Invitational&Gala i from mm t.tat S 83,500.00 .• yPntincelo imAfrnarrfcrn:auriFtzlingt romdak _ tlah)10trirVnthl4,lrmr ... ._.
