Dear Jeff:
In accordance with your request, we will perform the tasks outlined below for subject project. It is agreed that these
tasks will be provided as Additional Services in accordance with our original agreement for this project, dated
December 10, 2018, extending the contract date to October 1, 2020.
Additional Construction Contract Administration assistance for the City of Renton in assisting completion of the
General Contractor's construction, to include additional assistance from our Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing
consultant (BCE Engineers).
a. Three (3) additional Construction Site Punch Walks to ensure construction was completed per contract
documents.
b. Four (4) additional months of Construction Contract Administrations.
c. Additional review of Construction submittals beyond one (1) included with base fee.
d. Additional meetings and coordination with General Contractor and City regarding Change Order Pricing.
e. Additional meetings with City and General Contractor regarding items included within scope of General
Contractor per the contract documents.
f. Owner (City) Representative Services.

No services are included in this agreement other than those specifically set forth in the Scope of Services. In addition to
any Exclusions outlined within the project proposal (if attached), items which are specifically excluded from the Scope of
Services include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Reimbursable expenses.
2. Special billing requirements required by Client outside of Mackenzie's standard billing procedures.
3. Meetings with public agencies or other meetings other than those specifically identified in Scope of Services
above.
4. Formal Building code interpretation requests and/or appeals.
5. Accessibility compliance design other than that required by Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) as required for
Building Permit per the 2015 International Building Code (IBC) with Washington State Amendments (Effective
July 1, 2016) and the 2015 Seattle Building Code and by reference therein ANSI ICC/A117.1 for new
construction.(Since compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act - Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG) is not
required for Building Permit by AHJ, review, analysis and design for compliance therewith is specifically excluded
from basic services. Client may request for expanded accessibility review and compliance design to include that
of the ADAAG as an Optional Additional Service. However, there are inherent conflicts and/or discrepancies
between the codes required for Building Permit and the ADAAG and design and compliance with all of them may
not be possible).
6. Sustainability Certification Services.
7. Permits other than those identified within the proposal identified above (e.g., phase Permitting, trade permits,
separate demolition permit).
8. Special permits.
9. Construction cost estimating.
10. Materials testing/special inspections.
11. As-built certification to local jurisdiction unless noted specifically above within our scope of services.
12. Graphics and/or signage design, permitting, and related coordination.
13. Marketing materials.
14. For additional exclusions related to the Scope of Services of our retained consultant(s), refer to their attached
proposals.
Our fees for the services outlined above will be billed on an hourly basis in accordance with the attached Hourly Billing
Rate Schedule and will not exceed a guaranteed maximum of $32,000. This increases the total contract amount for this
project from $18,000 to $50,000.
All other provisions of our original agreement for this project apply to these services.
