RE: Provost Variances (File No. LUA06-024, V-H)
Dear Mr. & Ms. Provost:
This letter is to inform you that the Development Planning Section of the City of Renton
has determined that the subject application is incomplete according to submittal
requirements per RMC 4-8-120C and, therefore, is not accepted for review. The City's
regulations have changed regarding the measurement of setbacks. Per RMC 4-11-260
(attached) the front yard is the area which separates the stnJcture(s) from a public right-
of-way or private access easement. The submitted site plan measures the front yard
area from the property line as opposed to the edge of the private access easement.
Therefore, an additional variance from the front yard setback requirements shall, be
applied for 10 enable staff to accept the proposed project as complete.
The following additional information is required 10 continue processing your application:
I. 12 copies of a justification for the proposed front yard setback variance (see
attached justification criteria), and the rt;quired $250 fee to process the
additional variance.
Once the requested information is received, staff will review the materials for
completeness and your application will either be formally accepted for review or you
may be further requested to provide additional information or revisions. Please feel free
