HomeMy WebLinkAboutRE CITY RESPONSE - Willowcrest TH - Revise Clearing Limits - Permit C19004136Evan, We’ve reviewed the request and Jojo said he discussed this with you guys on site earlier today but I wanted to formalize as well. The proposed is acceptable given the following: · The silt fence shall be installed in the location as shown on the approved plans · The loose branches/shrubs currently sitting at the edge of the undisturbed vegetation shall be removed · All exposed soils in the area of disturbance shall be graded to prevent ponding and hydroseeded. Note that the design of the TESC plan did not require a sediment trap due to the vegetated surface downstream of the silt fence. As designed, the flowpath distance between the fence and property line was at it’s maximum, therefore the cleared area would not render the required flowpath possible. By maintaining the silt fence in the design location and hydroseeding the soil to stabilize it we are ok with the proposed. Please continue to coordinate with Jojo regarding implementation on site. There is an area on the site next to the tree we are saving that is sunken and has a cave like feature created by the overhanging brush that the homeless have been living in. We have had to deal with them multiple times and while they have been non-confrontational to this point, one way to help keep them out is to get rid of their hiding places. To do this, we would like to extend the clearing limits to the edge of the undisturbed limits as show on the attached drawing. Joel also wanted me to mentioned that we extended the temporary quarry spall road the entire length of the site to allow access from Edmonds Avenue to the Glennwood Townhomes. This allows us to access the entire length of the project and helps keep the dirt onsite. This has been working really well and we will continue to look for ways to keeping the streets clean and the jobsite safe and organized. Please let us know if this is acceptable.
