PURPOSE OF ANNEXATION -Brieflv describe the reasons vou desire to annex.
The applicant requests annexation to the City in order to obtain city services. Currently public
sewers are not available to the site. The applicant wishes to annex In anticipation of the City's
construction of a nl!'w sewer interceptor which will provide service to the vicinity. Renton
Water Service area serves the western half of the site. Water District 90 serves eastern half.
Annexation of site to City will facilitate agreement to allow City to serve entire site.
City can provide higher concentration of police In vicinity than County, resulting in faster
response time.
Annexation of vicinity to City is Imlnent whether this request Is approved or not. Development
under County standards may create nonconformities once slle is eventually annexed,
particularly In regard to septic systems.
The City's multifamily designation provides a better transition between the commercial area
along SE 128th Street and single family than the County's SR15000 designation.
