Section: Article: Description: The pile assembly circled in red (see attached) is floating several inches above the old timber footing. It is hanging from the bridge, completely free from the old footing. Our crew noticed this after clearing away some brush to begin shoring. We would like to confirm the five locations that will recieve concrete footings as called out in the plans are correct. Adrianah Heike, Asst. Project Manager, Emtech LLC Subm fitter Response: In review of the for construction plans, from April 2020 and the previous inspection reports the footings to be replaced at bents 3,4,6,7, and 17 are correct. Looking at photos from previous inspection it appears that this footing has settled and it is our recommendation that this footing be replaced as shown on the attached concrete strip footing sketch.
