REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
Development/Short Term Tenant License
1101 West Perimeter Rd., Renton WA 98057
Submittal Deadline: 5:00pm, July 20, 2020
The City of Renton is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) from interested parties for the aeronautical use of a
portion of the 1101 Parcel. 1101 West Perimeter Road is situated on the North West corner of Renton Municipal
Airport. The offered property is a portion of an existing parcel and is approximately 30,800 square feet comprised of
15,270 sqft public access area (Landside) with five (5) designated parking spots and 5,280 sqft grass area with 10,240
sqft paved aircraft storage with direct access to the northernmost area on Alpha Taxiway adjacent to the hold short of
Runway 16. Any license of this property will require the removal of an existing parking lot light and relocation of the
Wiley Post Seaplane Memorial, both of which are currently situated on the 1101 Parcel.
All buildings, structures, and improvements must meet FAA Part 77 regulations and any current applicable local, State,
and Federal building and fire codes, including but not limited to seismic, structural, electrical, and plumbing. Prior to
approval of major changes to the property including any new construction, the City of Renton design approval is
required. Renton Municipal Airport is currently conducting a Master Plan update that will require additional
modifications, these modifications may be the responsibility of the successful proposer to remedy after the federal
Environmental Impact Statement is complete (completion date not yet known).

Renton staff will evaluate each proposal based on the airport’s needs, proposed improvements, applicant financial
capacity, history of performance, and number of years in aeronautical activity. After the proposals have been
evaluated, the highest ranked applicants will be interviewed. Final selection will be made based upon both the
written proposals and the interviews.
Women and Minority Business Enterprises (WMBE) are encouraged to submit proposals.
Proposals shall adhere to the following requirements:
The deadline for submittals is 5:00 p.m., Monday, July 20, 2020.
PDFs of the complete proposal may be emailed no later than the submittal deadline, OR
Three (3) copies of the complete proposal package may be mailed or delivered with a postmark date no later
than the submittal deadline.
