From: mzbizwhiz@comcast.net <mzbizwhiz@comcast.net> Sent: Tuesday, June 23, 2020 12:29 PM To: Donna Locher <DLocher@Rentonwa.gov> Subject: Frank Snyder Compliance Hearing Hello Ms. Locher, Rick and I just watched the hearing regarding Frank Snyder. I was hoping to have offered additional facts during the hearing to assist in the decision making process. Rick and I have always focused on being good, helpful and respectful neighbors to everyone, including Frank Snyder. In past years we have on multiple occasions offered Frank the use of our trailer to help him clean up his property. He always said NO. Last year we replaced our fence. There were many 6-8' sections in very good condition that were removed. Rick spoke with Frank and offered him any and all fencing that he would like. We saw it as an opportunity for Frank to fix/replace poor fencing at no cost. Again Frank said NO. Frank may have some health issues. However, his Facebook page will give a clearer picture of his life. Pre-COVID-19, Frank was going to bars to drink and dance to live music 3-4 nights per week. Every week. He favors bars in Seattle, Snohomish and Skagit area. He has his favorite buffets. He likes to take Phoebe to beaches to play. (She is a happy girl.) On March 3, 2020 he took a two week vacation to Hawaii. I offer this information not as a commentary on his social life, but to push back on his narrative that he is so unhealthy and on a very strict budget. We listened in disbelief as Frank claimed that his boat is operable. It is delaminated, rotting, moldy, and unregistered/licensed. Mike Patricelli, who lives next door to Frank, owns and has offered to Frank the use of a very powerful brush cutter to help with Frank's lawn. I personally watched Frank return it to Mike unused last August. A few years ago, Mike spoke with Frank and arranged to have Mike's lawn guys cut Frank's front lawn for $100. Mike offered to pay $50 of the cost. Frank agreed. The guys cut down the grass which was very high. They did the left side where the dead boat sits. Then Frank came out of his house and stated that he had changed his mind. He refused to pay for the other side. Mike paid them $50 and they left. And Frank's lawn was left half mowed. I share this story with you so that you will have a clearer understanding of Frank Snyder. There have been multiple offers of help to Frank without positive results. Rick and I asked you one year ago "What can be done to change this situation? After 18 years, what can we expect from the city of Renton Code Enforcement?" Today was a hearing that we hoped would finally address the concerns. Please forward this email to Mr. Olbreichts so that it may help him in his decision making process. If you should have any questions for us we would be happy to help. Thank you very much. We look forward to hearing from you. Regards, Carol Krog
