STRUCTURAL CALCUALTIONS ARE ATTACHED TO THIS RESPONSE.
The standard plan120 shows the 4” thick concrete pad and 117.2 shows a 5 ½”
exposure height above the pad, resulting in a desired clearance for the bolt
length above the foundation of 10” and any excess can be cutoff. therefore,
the bolt length for this spread footing would be 16” in the foundation plus 10”
above for a total of 26” based on the measurements supplied in this submittal.
The contractor needs to meet standard plans 117.2 and 120 standard plans for
all other pedestrian level poles for this project to be sure the clearances and
bolt lengths/types are properly installed.
condition of approval:
the bolts on the pedestrian lights shall be installed so that the bolts extend a
minimum of 10-inches above the foundation.
