Thanks much, Matthew Matthew Denner, AIA Miller Hayashi Architects PLLC 118 N. 35th St. Suite 200 Seattle, WA 98103 206 634 0177 millerhayashi.com From: Nathan Janders [mailto:NJanders@Rentonwa.gov] Sent: Monday, June 29, 2020 2:27 PM To: Matthew Denner Cc: Steve Triplett Subject: RE: HealthPoint 947 Powell: Permit Review Intake Request Matthew, I took a look at the submittal items and you have everything that I need with one exception. The application does not list the value of the water system, it is from this that the plan review fees are assessed and an estimated 50% will be due at time of intake with the balance, and any SDC, testing, etc. fees, due upon issuance . Please let me know what the estimated value for the water system (as shown on the civil plans) is, I will then send you an invoice for the plan review fee which must be paid prior to acceptance for review. You could either list it on page 3 of the application or email me the number, either will work for the intake. Please let me know if this would be acceptable, if not I would be happy to submit individually as needed. In terms of the drawing packages at a minimum I will need what is listed on the checklist I sent to Keith previously (attached for reference). I should only need to see what is external to the building for the new water line so including the mechanical/plumbing with the civil is helpful but not necessary. If included I’ll simply add a note on the plans saying something to the effect that they are for reference only and review is done under a separate permit. For the civil process please see the attached which walks you through it (link here: https://edocs.rentonwa.gov/Documents/1/edoc/955970/Civil%20Construction%20Permit%20Application%20Process%20and%20S ubmittal%20Requirements.pdf <https://edocs.rentonwa.gov/Documents/1/edoc/955970/Civil%20Construction%20Permit%20Application%20Process%20and%20Submittal%20Requirements.pdf> ). Given the current Covid-19 crisis step 1 and 2 are slightly different as I will not be holding an intake meeting but instead ask that you email me either the plans or a link to them and I will screen for completion. If acceptable and the permit review fee has been paid then I’ll email you to notify of acceptance otherwise I’ll email you a list of what needs to be corrected. Once accepted for review the first cycle is 4 weeks with any subsequent reviews being 2 weeks. I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions or when you are ready to submit for the civil permit. As you have identified, we will need to submit for a Civil permit for the new vault and sprinkler service. We are also submitting for a building permit and I would like to confirm the process from a Civil review standpoint. Can we submit both Civil and Building permits at the same time, or will they want to be separate drawing packages? If separate, would you want to see any portion of the architectural or mechanical/plumbing drawings for reference? I emailed with Steve Triplett who noted that the Civil documents are typically taken in before the building permit documents. Is this accurate or can we submit both Civil and Building permit at the same time? If the civil review occurs first, what does that process look like in terms of timeline for when we can submit the building permit documents?
