Arrived on-site and found Icon performing preconstruction activities along the west side of Duvall a NE 6th St.
7:30am on the sidewalk.
Icon is off loading the grinder and preparing for the days activities. AGS is placing the Class A signage and
8:30am providing T/C
Jeff and I met with Greg Seegmiller to perform layouts for the water POC for the medians. NW Concrete Cutting
9:30am is on-site and is cutting at NE 61h St.
Ken was on-site to discuss the meeting; it was decided that the ramp on the NE corner of NE 6th St would be
deleted and no work was to be performed at this location. Icon is preparing to grind pavement for the median a
10:30am Sta.18+00-21+00+/-
Saw cutting has been performed at NE 6th St. and NW is relocating to NE 7th PI. Icon is placing temp ramps a
11:30am the locations where ramps are to be removed. Pavement grinding is being performed.
I have informed AGS that the T/C at NE 7th PI is inadequate and if they can't provide proper T/C the work will
12:15pm have to stop.
I have stopped the sidewalk removal on the SW corner of 6th due to a lack of proper T/C. No assistance for
pedestrians and no clear zone for the work has been established. Icon continues to perform planning for the
median. Saw cutting continues at n 8th St. If work continues at both ends of the project, more T/C will have to be
1:00pm provided.
Traffic control has become an issue; the saw cutter had planned to begin at 9th with no T/C in place. I have
2:00 m directed work to stop until a clear zone can be established.
Saw cutting has resumed,traffic control is acceptable. Icon is relocating the pavement grinder to the next median
at Sta. 29+51-33+00 +/-. Sweeper is working with the grinder, cleaning as the work is performed.2:30pm saw
2:10 m cutting has finished.
Icon has finished in the roadway for the day. I have directed AGS to provide more flaggers and T/C devices. I
have discussed the PAR with Jeff and I stated that the walks will have to be accessible to wheel chairs and that
3:00pm the surface will have to be hard. I ood or cold mix).
3:30 m AGS is securing the work areas and placing cones around the equipment.
