This mural idea combines a few elements dear to Renton, including a dragon
playing a Jimi Hendrix guitar, while Big Foot listens from a distance. The
dragon is resting a bed of oversized local flowers.

Loosely based on the idea of Four Cow Bridge, this mural idea dons four cows
in the woods ready to photobomb anyone taking a photo with the mural.

IDEA #3
This mural idea combines almost all of the big ideas on the list: storm
troopers delivering pizza to Big Foot on Captain Renton’s logging boat, with a
dragon lurking the woods and bright colors to tie it all together.

ARTIST
River Valley Cheese & Brelse Illustration have been
working together for a couple years now, on various
illustration and branding projects, many of which
portray a delectably colorful and imaginative array
of themes.

This was a commission piece for a
fellow in Spokane who thought “Since
Mr. Rogers was a pioneer in television,
if he were still alive, he certainly would
be into social media.” And so came
about the piece, Mr. Rogers Takes a
Selfie.
The client told me his idea, how we
wanted some of the characters of the
show around Mr. Rogers, and I got to
work. The client loved the extra detail
of King Friday holding a peace sign and
Daniel gripping his sweater.
This canvas was 5.5 ft by 6 ft.

The Dairy Farmers of Washington
got a hold of me to create some art
pieces for their office and for schwag
products (the digital illustrations can
be seen on the following page).
What originally started out as a
singular painting soon turned into
three separate pieces once the client
saw my sketches and simply wanted
them all.
We aimed to capture the hipster
nature that assumes the Seattle area,
so we came up with a few different
tropes (beanie, bowtie, glasses,
flannel) and had each cow interacting
with a certain dairy product.
After all, who is more proud of dairy
products than cows!
