Supplementary Report:
At the client’s request, ESNW rep was onsite to observe cast in place wall footing backfill and slope stability.
Footing Excavation
ESNW Rep observed contractor placing form boards for cast in place walls footings. While onsite, rep used a ½”
steel t-probe and observed the footing subgrade to be very dense, firm, unyielding, and suitable for support of the
proposed wall.
Cut Slopes
While onsite, rep observed slopes of the cut slopes to be near vertical. Rep observed that the north slopes of the
excavation were near a 0.75:1 (H:V) slope. Although over-steepened, slopes are stable in current configuration
and stable to work within. The contractor is responsible for providing all safety measures in accordance with state
and federal regulation
ESNW rep will return to observe earthwork activities when requested by client
