Attached are the plans and the only comment is on page 3 where the storm pipe needs to be DI given that there is only ~1.7 ft of cover where it is exposed. Hi Nathan, From the email chain below I believe you have been briefed on the fiber duct bank conflict with the proposed sewer and storm lines into Edmonds Ave on the Willowcrest project. Coterra has worked to revise the design for both the 8” public sanitary sewer and 8” private storm drainage lines to avoid conflicting with the 30”x30” concrete-encased duct bank. Adjusting the inverts in the two downstream structures for both sanitary sewer (SSMH #1 and SSMH #2) and storm drain (CB #2 and CB #3) and running both lines at 2.0% between these structures, we are able to clear the sewer under the duct bank and the storm drain over the duct bank, both including the 14” DI casing pipes, per the original approved design. Attached for your review and approval are the updated Composite Utility Plan, Storm Drainage Plan, and a new sheet C4.4 – Utility Profiles at Duct Bank – showing the proposed design revisions. I have called out the clearances proposed between the utilities on the profiles, as well as the proposed cover. Please get in touch directly with any questions/comments on these revisions as the general contractor is eager to keep their utility connection work moving forward. City of Renton wants Coterra to come up with a fix asap and to submit it to them for approval. The COR will work with us to get a quick approval if we can get it to them quickly. Brad Stocco with COR was also on site. There is “federal” fiber duct bank encased in concrete (30”x30”) where the top of this concrete encasement is 46” down from top of sidewalk there. They want the civil engineer of record to find solution and submit to Nate with the COR. IF Coterra can get out here this afternoon then revised design can be reviewed and approved by COR on Monday so as to not delay the work any further. Contractor just potholed their sewer coming SSMH#1 to the East and line is running directly into the bottom of duct bank also. I let contractor know that they will need to get ahold of their engineer so he can come take a look and have something sent over to you Nate.
