HomeMy WebLinkAboutAdden 1AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO AGREEMENT FOR ASSESSMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF AN AGE-FRIENDLY RENTON DESIGNATION AND ACTION PLAN THIS AMENDMENT, dated December 18, 2020, is by and between the City of Renton (the “City”), a Washington municipal corporation, and Blue Sky Communications NW, LLC (“Consultant”), Washington limited liability company. The City and the Consultant are referred to collectively in this Amendment as the “Parties.” Once fully executed by the Parties, this Amendment is effective as of the last date signed by both parties. Whereas, the City engaged the services of the Consultant under Agreement CAG-20-064, dated January 27, 2020, to provide necessary services for the assessment and development of an age- friendly Renton designation and action plan (referred to herein as the “Agreement”); Whereas, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement change the time of performance in order to provide assessment and development of an age-friendly Renton designation and action plan. NOW THEREFORE, It is mutually agreed upon that CAG-20-064 is amended as follows: 1. Scope of Work: Section 1, Scope of Work, is amended to replace Exhibit A to CAG-20-064 with Exhibit B, which is attached and incorporated herein. Exhibit A is no longer in effect. 2.Time of Performance: Section 3, Time of Performance, is amended to read as follows: Consultant shall commence performance of the Agreement pursuant to the schedule(s) set forth in Exhibit A. All Work shall be performed by no later than March 31, 2021. 3. Compensation: Section 4, Compensation, is amended so that the maximum amount of compensation payable to Consultant is increased by $15,000.00 from $55,000.00 to $70,000.00. The additional compensation shall be paid based upon Work actually performed according to the rate(s) or amounts specified in Exhibit A of the Agreement. 4.All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in full force and effect and such terms shall apply to Work performed according to this Amendment as if fully set forth herein. CAG-20-064, Adden #1-20 ----------------------- (approved via email by Alex Tuttle) Exhibit AB EXHIBIT 1: SCOPE OF WORK Objective – The objective of this contract is to assist in the continued assessment and development of the Age-Friendly Renton initiative, in accordance with guidelines developed by the World Health Organization and the American Association of Retired Persons. This will include the following: x Weekly check-in meetings with project leads, to assess project status. x Operate as a liaison/representative of the City of Renton when working with AARP and outside organizations. x Age-Friendly initiative research and identification of best practices. x Finalized a baseline assessment of the age-friendliness of the Renton community, beginning internally with City of Renton Departments and Divisions. x Assess age-friendliness initiatives with outside partner organizations (Valley Medical Center, Renton Housing Authority, senior housing, King County Library, etc). x Collaboration on phase 2 of Age-Friendly survey which may include recirculation to additional constituents and minority group. x Develop focus groups/ambassadors to help engage additional survey participation. x Compile resources, policies and needs identified in surveys and in-person meetings to develop a content repository for the Age-Friendly initiatives. x Assess Age-Friendly survey in conjunction with Senior Center and ADA survey results. x Identify current and new partners that will align with Age-Friendly initiatives and goals. Weave potential partnership into community-wide action plan. x Assist as needed with internal communication messaging. x Serve as an ambassador or representative for the City of Renton when liaising with other Age-Friendly cities. x Collaboration with community partners. Assess programs in place and opportunities for partnerships moving forward. x Work with the City Communications Department to develop Age-Friendly page on city website. o Highlight specific services/program/virtual for seniors o Visual call-out of 8 domains utilizing graphic elements x Develop interdepartmental subcommittee to make recommendations for Action Plan. x Establish an outline and plan for the build-out of the Age-Friendly Action Plan with a focus on what city is currently doing to support the 8 domains and where there is room for improvement. o Work with GIS mapping and communications on a template x Develop community partner committee to add external perspective and support. x Work with City staff to create a “Future Senior” committee – involve the community youth. Timeline: January 2021 – March 2021 Budget: (billed hourly, $125/hour – not to exceed $5,000 monthly)
