Mark, I need you to update plans and send them to me as a minor plan change for formal review and approval. Proposed changes and comments: 1. Shift the 5x10 grated opening to the SW corner of the first cell – outside of the paved service drive - and set the top of the opening 0.75ft above the adjacent grade to avoid designing the grate for service vehicle wheel loading. [NJ] Conceptually acceptable 2. Delete the sump since the bottom of the vault is 3ft below the flow control restrictor plate. We typically do not see sumps in wet vaults. [NJ] Conceptually acceptable 3. Shift the 8ft wide opening 4ft off of the end wall and make the opening 10ft tall. [NJ] Shifting of the opening is ok but it needs to be limited to 3.5 ft from the end wall if the opening width (8ft) stays the same. This is due to retaining at least a 5:1 L:W ratio in the vault and shifting further away from the wall will reduce it. I would like to suggest the following adjustments to the vault configuration as follows and as shown in the attachment. Mark Plog suggested I discuss these adjustments with you before we complete our design for the permit submittal. 1. Shift the 5x10 grated opening to the SW corner of the first cell – outside of the paved service drive - and set the top of the opening 0.75ft above the adjacent grade to avoid designing the grate for service vehicle wheel loading. 2.
