Based on the information provided and our understanding of the project and its APE, we recommend an archeological review performed for this project. This is in an area the Duwamish Tribe considers culturally significant and has a moderate probability to have unknown archaeological deposits since it is close to the Duwamish resource sites near biʔbliʔcəd (Lushootseed for “a burden” or “a load” along the creek in Orillia). Although this project is all within an existing building, it is not uncommon to uncover unknown archaeological items in developed areas if there is ground disturbance. If any archaeological work is performed, we request notification. An IDP should not be used in lieu of an archeological investigation. Cultural and archaeological resources are non-renewable and are best discovered prior to ground disturbance. Thank You, DUWAMISH TRIBE 4705 W.
