Contract Services: Topographic Survey with 1' contour intervals, of a portion of the above -described parcel consisting
of an area approximately 150' x 200', see attached map of area to be surveyed. Items will be
located as outlined in survey requirements provided by City of Renton. Any location service fees
for utilities and/or underground will be considered a reimbursable expense.

Scope of work below is not intended to be exclusive and your proposal shall include other tasks and
activities necessary to complete work.
Scope of Work
1. General:
A. Comply with typical Local Authority Having Jurisdiction requirements datum control and
other requirements.
B. Tie horizontal and vertical control to at least two known monuments.
2. Format:
A.
Survey shall be provided in PDF and Auto-CADD and shall include surface files and break
lines.
B.
Symbol and line work legends.
C.
Label unique features.
D.
Orientate north up.
E.
Legal Description, Basis of Hearing and Vertical Datum.
F.
Graphic scale.
3. Extent:
A.
Area shall include:
1) Commence at mid -point of intersection of 19th St SW and SW Raymond Ave
2) Include to mid -point of both adjacent streets along south and west sides of area
3) 150 feet extending north / south
4) 200 feet extending east / west
4. Boundary
A.
All property lines, easements and encroachments.
B.
Property line lengths, bearing, angles, curve lengths and points of tangent.
5. Topography
A.
Contours at 1-foot vertical relief.
B.
Top and toe of slopes and other significant features.
C.
Spot elevations on a minimum 20 x 20 foot grid.
D.
Spot elevations along top and bottom of curbs, rockeries, retaining walls and similar
surfaces.
E.
Top and bottom elevations at walks, landings, ramps, stairs and similar features.
6. Utilities
A.
All above and below ground public, private and district utility lines, structures, poles,
transformers, etc.
B.
Utility lines and structure sizes and materials.
C.
Horizontal and vertical locations of all items.
D.
Rim and invert elevations plus direction of flow of storm and sanitary systems.

E. Off -site upstream and downstream storm and sanitary system structures.
F. Fire safety devices including hydrants, PIV, FDC, etc.
G. Top and interior bottom elevations of vaults and similar structures.
H. Fuel tanks, meters, fire hydrants, valves and similar items.
I. Monitoring wells.
J. Underground utility tunnels.
7. Surface Features
A. All surface features including, but not limited to:
1) Structures (including buildings, covered areas, portables, sheds, athletic improvements
and utilities;
2) Pavements, curbs, changes in surfaces, and similar items;
3) Lights, bollards, mail boxes, benches, trash receptacles, flagpoles and similar items;
4) Message boards, signage, wheel stops, striping, pavement markings, ADA features,
directional arrows, fire lanes and similar items;
5) Materials changes
6) Indications of unstable soils
8. Easements and Encroachments
A. All easements and encroachments.
9. Trees
A. All significant trees as defined by the Local Authority Having Jurisdiction.
B. Species, trunk size and drip lines of significance and requested trees.
10. Right -of -Way
A. All items noted elsewhere above or below.
B. All above and below ground utilities and surface features.
11. Miscellaneous
A. Set four hubs for future use by Contractor. Connect to Datum.
B. Locate critical areas.

A. Define any reimbursables
B. Identify an allowance amount and include in the fee
14. Schedule
15. Other
A. Fee shall be either lump sum or not -to -exceed
B. Provide schedule of hourly rates and charges
C. Agreement will be City of Renton Professional Services Agreement
D. Provide Certificates of Insurance in accordance with Professional Services Agreement
requirements. Both the City of Renton and Providence Health services shall be named as
additional insureds
