Strong Tiger Mountain Homes / Mark Fury Site Works P. Cloudy 50’s THE FOLLOWING WAS NOTED: Associated Earth Sciences, Inc. (AESI) arrived on site part-time in order to observed earthwork activities. Upon arrival we met with representatives of Fury Site Works AESI was onsite in order to collect soil samples for proctor analysis. Two samples were collected one of native gray silty sand with gravel (till) and another imported gravelly sand with some silt. Sewer Trench Backfill: Prior to our arrival Fury had backfilled for sewer trench connecting to EX SSMH-1381-1 (Fig 1). Were informed that trench backfill was approximately 6-8’ thick comprised of imported gravelly sand for the bottom portion of trench backfill and covered in 1’ thick of site derived silty sand with gravel. We were informed that backfill was placed in multiple lifts and compacted utilizing a vibratory ho-pac. We were also informed that top of trench was still approximately 4-5’ below finished grade. AESI completed a compaction test on the surface of trench backfill (5’ below final grade). Test appeared to within suitable range for moisture conditions yet low for dry density value expected with silty sand with gravel. AESI recommended to Fury to re-compact the area utilizing a vibratory ho-pac. Fury confirmed and informed that they will re- compact the area tomorrow (3/26/2021). AESI departed the site in the PM and will return upon request.
