Strong Tiger Mountain Homes / Mark Fury Site Works/Dan Sunny, 60’s THE FOLLOWING WAS NOTED: Associated Earth Sciences, Inc. (AESI) arrived on site in the PM in order to observe earthwork activities. Upon arrival we met with Mark and Dan. Site Fill: Prior to our arrival fill soils which were yielding as referenced in AESI Field Report #012 had been aerated and re- compacted (Fig 1). AESI observed construction traffic over the area and did not observe any yielding under dump trucks. Fill had been compacted utilizing a vibratory roller. AESI completed compaction tests at this surface, approximately 5’ below final grade, and achieved results which meet minimum compaction specifications (Table 1). Water Line Trench Backfill: Prior to our arrival Fury backfilled for water line trench crossing 111th Ave SE (Fig 2). Backfill appears to be approximately 2’ thick comprised of imported 5/8” minus crushed rock. We were informed that backfill was placed in multiple lifts and compacted utilizing a vibratory ho-pac. Prior to our arrival the contractor had paved over the trench. AESI completed compaction tests on either site of the street where backfill soils were exposed and achieved results which meet minimum compaction specifications (Table 1). AESI departed the site in the PM and will upon request. *Minimum 95% compaction required for passing result Test Location Apprx.
