HomeMy WebLinkAboutCM_Madsen_210420_v1Construction Mitigation Description Madsen Creek Flood Reduction Improvement Project Proposed Construction Dates: Proposed Construction Dates: September 2021 – October 2021 Hours and Days of Operation: Time of work allowed (unless authorized by the City of Renton) Monday – Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Proposed Hauling/Transportation Routes: Hauling routes may vary depending on location of work but is expected to come from Maple Valley Highway or State Route 169 to the project site. Truck hauling will be limited to 8:30 am to 3:30 pm on principle arterial streets, unless otherwise approved by the City of Renton. Measures to be implemented For more information regarding impacts due to the construction site please the SWPPP in the Drainage Report. Minimize Dust: -Spray exposed soil and storage areas with water during dry periods. -Remove particulate matter deposited on paved, public roads and sidewalks. Traffic and Transportation Impacts: -Flaggers will be used to ensure flow of traffic through the residential neighborhood. Erosion: -Construction of the proposed project, including all staging areas, would be restricted to the project site. -All debris and spill material would be transported off-site to an appropriate disposal facility. -Erosion Control measures could include use of silt fencing, catch basin inlet protection, stabilized construction entrance, and other measures as specified in the SWPP. Mud: -Remove particulate matter deposited on paved, public roads, and sidewalks to reduce mud and dust; sweep and wash streets frequently. Noise: -Construction work will be limited to typical work day and week hours. Nighttime and weekend work is not anticipated and would require approval from the City of Renton. Any Special Hours Proposed: At this time there are no special hours proposed for construction or hauling. Preliminary Traffic Control Plan: The contractor will provide a Traffic Control Plan to by reviewed and approved by the City Transportation Department prior to the beginning of construction. The Traffic Control Plan will adhere to City standards and ensure that flaggers and appropriate signage is implemented. Access to residential properties will be maintained throughout the project. If access is not permitted due to construction activities property owners will be notified.
