We are still working on finishing the business plans for 2015 budget. One issue that has , been discussed is opening up the center one evening per week. This will draw people who axe not available during the daytime hours. .Plans are to implement this in October. A tentative plan would be starting in January to have two nights available. The intent is not to just ectend our hours, but to make the center available to people who can not be accommodated during the day time hours. Wednesday night is the only night available at this time but in the future we might possibly do Tuesday and Wednesday night. Debbie will be involved with setting up the night classes and would be targeting the 45- 60 age groups. Offering classes on retirement options and other retirement issues would be an objective. Also lettang people know where the center is and what we offer. Shawn had good news last week and found out we have a second sponsor for our River Day Picnic. 1NG Financial is contributing$1500. Dan Kellogg is the other sponsor. We are working on a schedule for the interview committee. We have sapplications and might end up with a total of 8 or 10. The interview committee consists of three advisory . board members and either Debbie or I will be asking the questions. The Advisory Board Members score the applicants,we make selections and then we forward the entire list to the mayor. We make recommendations, but the final decision is the mayors.
