, CALL TO ORDER: President Pat Baylor opened the meeting at 10:00 A.M.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA/APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Minutes of the May 5, 2014 meeting were
. re'ad, corrections were noted (below) and Judith made a motion for the minutes to be
approved, Mij seconded.�

Pat handed out subcommittee sheets and committee responsibility sheets. Pat read Judith
Young's resignation letter of May 14, 2014. �
RECREATION SUPERVISOR: Shawn Daly �
Shawn received one check from Lottie Calhoun�in the amount of,$125.00. Shawn shared an
article on the�coffee bar volunteer thaf was in the April edition of the Mariner Magazine.
Shawn announced that the Senior Advisory Board is tentatively. scheduled at the Farmer's
market on September 2"d, in_addition to the date of June 17tn
The tax paperwork for non-profit status of the Senior Advisory Board hes been submitted.
� Shawn thanked everyone on helping with the Senior Revue. It was a great success. �
On June 11th at 7 pm, we will be having another Senior Business Plan focus group: On October.
11th, there will be a transportation fair at the Senior Center. On June 16th.from 1-2 pm'there
will be a program on fraud prevention.

RECREATION COORDINATOR: Debbie Little �

Debbie talked about how successful the Seaside Oregon trip was. She is planning a fall trip to
the Yakima valley with wine tasting. Senior Softball is going well.
DIRECTOR/ADMINISTRATION REPORT: Kris Stimpson
' Kris reported that the new Meadowcrest playground opening went well and encouraged
everyone with or without grandchildren to visit. She also mentioned that the Farmer's market
opens on June 2"a -
WRITTEN and/or ORAL COMMUNICATION:
A letter was read from Glenda Filio, from the Hearing Loss Association' local chapter. Mij made
a motio.n for her to come to a Senior Advisory Committee meeting. The motion was seconded
by Peggy, and approved by the members.
- Bil,l presented a proposed budget for the 2014 River Day's Float. Milt made a motion to
approve the budget and Peggy seconded. Motion was approved by the members. The theme
is "Old Ducks Have More Fun".
COMMITTEE MEMBER REPORTS:
Marketing Committee — Mary Brown suggested that we�call Shelley at Merrill Gardens for a
tour. The marketing committee has also been in touch with the Chamber of Commerce, who
welcomes the senior brochures. The Welcome Desk has a new checklist—to ask where the new
folks heard about us and where they are from. Ruby will report monthly.
Shawn was asked to check on the status of fire alarm improvements.
Shirley Haddock is chairperson on the Health Services committee and she reported that from
April 1— May 13, there�were eight pieces of equipment checked out, 79 footcare appointments
and.383 blood pressure checks.
Peggy mentioned that she has access to a mobil PA system that might work for the hearing
impaired group. She will bring back any information she can find about the system.
Judith mentioned that the clocks at the center are all on different times.
