The attached plan shows the location of all areas to be cleared. These areas are
currently covered with a combination of blackberry canes, scotch broom and mixed
grasses. The clearing to occur will be the minimum necessary to accommodate the
planting areas for 20— 25 Western Red Cedar Trees.
Because the trees must be planted 3 feet from the existing chain link fence, it may be
necessary to move on-site dirt against the existing slope to stabilize the planting area.
The slopes will retain the existing 3:1 ratio and no import or export will occur as a result
of this permit. 1

Routine tree trimming and topping are not anticipated for several years. When the trees
reach maturity, selective trimming to comply with the City of Renton codes in effect at
that time will be utilized.

The ground cover to be removed was not planted according to a landscape plan, nor
was it installed under a permit. It is not anticipated that the invasive species will spread
back into the area, as the new trees will be planted 6 feet on center and should become
the predominant plant species in that isolated portion of the property.
