THE CONTRACT IS MODIFIED AS FOLLOWS:
Description of Change:
Change to Contract Plans:
The Contractor is directed to construct the trail realignment and associated changes at the east end of the
project between Station 28+30 and Station 29+21 on Logan Avenue near the trail connection to the bridge
as directed in Field Directive No. 1. The sidewalk connection that runs east-west shifts slightly to the south
out of the Renton School District property. The sidewalk connection to the Cedar River Trail shifts from a
right angle to a wye connection.
The net effect of these changes include 250 SY reduction in removal of existing pavement, a reduction in
1 EA Adjust Catch Basin, a reduction of 5 EA PSIPE Arbutus Unedo ‘Compacta’/Compact Strawberry Tree
(5 Gal), a reduction of 15 SY of pavement and concrete removal and addition of 7 EA PSIPE Rosa X
“Radcon’/Pink Knockout Rose (2 Gal), the addition of 4 EA PSIPE Spirea Thunbergii ‘Ogon’/Mellow
Yellow Spirea (5 Gal), the reduction of 23 EA PSIPE Sedum Rasestre “Angelina’/Angelina Stonecrop (1
Gal), the reduction of 39 EA PSIPE Teucriumchamaedrys/ Wall Germander (1 Gal), the reduction of 33 SY
of Sod Installation and the reduction of 10 SY of Cement Conc. Sidewalk.

This revision realigns the sidewalk connection to the bicycle trail in order to keep the
improvements within existing right of way and easements.

Equitable Adjustment:
This Change Order does include an equitable adjustment per Section 1-09.4 of the 2020
WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications.
The Work will be measured and paid under the respective unit and lump sum prices.
The attached Equitable Adjustment Summary lists the unit and lump sum bid items that
are adjusted due to this change. The adjustments to the unit bid item quantities are
estimates; the Contractor will be paid based on the actual quantities installed.

Extension of Time:
As agreed by the Contractor, the Time for Completion is extended 0 Working Days.
Sections 1-04.4 and 1-04.5 of the 2020 WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications shall govern
this Change Order. The Work of the referenced Contract is modified to include the changes
detailed herein. The payment provided for herein shall constitute the complete and final
settlement for all costs of labor, equipment, materials, overhead, profit, permit fees, and all
other claims that may be made by the Contractor as a result of this change.

Please see attached signed copy. The alignment information has been provided to our Survey sub for staking and
uploading in their instruments.
Regarding the credit mentioned below, ACI would provide around $250 for not having to remove the 15SY. There may
be some costs for our surveyors to re-map this in their instruments so I would like to table the credit until I hear from
our subcontractor.

Good morning Greg –Here is a FWD, detailing changes to the trail alignment and connection at the east end of the
project, for ACI’s review and signature. This revision was briefly introduced at the preconstruction meeting. ACI is
directed to make these changes.
