Notice is hereby given that the City of Renton has accepted the following proposal for review:
D-201 - UC Zone Development Standards
LUA21-000282, ECF
Location: Citywide. Amend Renton Municipal Code (RMC) to Amend Renton Municipal Code (RMC) to create
a new Urban Center-2 (UC-2) Zone and ensure new development, notably multifamily housing, in both Urban
Center (UC) zones is regulated in the same manner as other commercial zones. Additionally, create flexibility
to allow reduced ground floor commercial space requirements in all commercial zones.
Comments of the proposal must be filed in writing on or before 5:00 p.m. on August 23, 2021. Comments of the
proposal must be submitted in writing to Paul Hintz, Senior Planner CED, Planning Division, 1055 South Grady Way,
Renton, WA 98057 or at phintz@rentonwa.gov. If you have questions about this proposal, or wish to be made a party
of record and receive additional notification by mail, contact phinz@rentonwa.gov. Anyone who submits written
comments will automatically become a party of record and will be notified of any decision on this project.
