Maplewood Elementary School Crossing (see attached DWG PD4 and SG3) On the west side: x Remove and replace the existing landing and north ramp. On the east side: x Remove and replace the landing, both ramps and one concrete panel south of the ramp. Install a tactile warning strip in the concrete landing; the tactile warning strip will not be installed on the asphalt. Leave existing crosswalk markings between traffic islands. x Install a PPB foundation and pole back of the landing; the pushbutton will not be placed on the RRFB pole. x Install conduit and conductors between junction box and PPB pole. Restore extruded curb and HMA with Portland cement concrete. Delete Bid Item 37 Detectable Warning Surface Reason for Change: McKnight Middle School NE Ramp The rampdid not meet accessibility requirements and needs to be replaced. Maplewood Elementary School Crossing The existing Maplewood ramps, on the east and west side of Jericho Avenue NE, do not meet accessibility requirements. Since the pedestrian facility was changed by the installation of an RRF, the entire crossing must meet accessibility requirements. Delete Bid Item 37 Detectable Warning Surface Since a PPB pole will be installed back of the sidewalk on the east side and a detectable warning surface will be installed in the landing, a detectable warning surface in the asphalt is not required. Change Order No. 8 Contract Title: Renton Elementary and Middle School Crossings Contract No. CAG -20-150 Page 3 of 3 Materials: No Change Plans: The attached revised plan dwgs. PD2, PD4, and SG3. Equitable Adjustment: This Change Order includes an equitable adjustment per Section 1-09.4 of the 2020 WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications. The pay items shall be revised as follows: The Work will be completed by force account. Bid Item 8-55 Maplewood and McKnight Ramp Revisions, FA, is added to the contract. Extension of Time: The Time for Completion is extended 8 Working Days. Sections 1-04.4 and 1-04.5 of the 2020 WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications shall govern this Change Order. The Work of the referenced Contract is modified to include the changes detailed herein. The payment provided for herein shall constitute the complete and final settlement for all costs of labor, equipment, materials, overhead, profit, permit fees, and all other claims that may be made by the Contractor as a result of this change.
