The work depicted in the permit drawing package (sheets G0, C222, C293 and C506) is intended to provide a direct route for groundwater runoff to be fed into the existing storm water system via the existing Type 1 catch basin. Currently, groundwater is infiltrating the existing fuel spill containment vaults (URE-789 and URE-790) instead of being fed into the catch basin as intended. Temporary barriers have been set around the fuel spill containment vaults to direct water into the catch basin, however Boeing is looking to install a more permanent feature (slot drain at three sides) to allow the system to behave as designed. This scope of work will have no change in the amount, rate, or quality of stormwater runoff in the area.
